The main developments of the Faculty

georadar GPR to diagnose the state of the road surface.
The purpose of development is to create mathematical and software for primary processing and interpreting the results of subsurface sounding road construction to ensure high-precision determination of the thickness of the structural layers of the pavement as a result of subsurface zonudvannya, as well as search and identification of subsurface defects (cracks).

photoplethysmography Computer photoplethysmography
Medical device. To assess the condition of the vascular system, calculate the stress index (degree of tension of regulatory systems of the body). Total provides data on the 26 parameters and indexes.
Key features:

  1. Photoplethysmography
    • Registration and visualization of the pulse wave
    • Control of heart rate in real time
    • Pulse wave contour analysis
  2. Analysis of heart rate variability (HRV)
    • Building rhythmogram (the dependence of the period of the cardiac cycle from time to time), the histogram variability (variation pulsogram)
    • Correlation analysis of HRV – Building scattergrams

Head topic: Antonenko Y.А.

Analyzer Portable analyzer heart rate variability
Allows for 5 minutes to obtain data about the state of the cardiovascular system, to identify the presence of chronic diseases. In general, the device calculates more than 20 hemodynamic parameters and heart rate variability.
Key features:

  1. Photoplethysmography
    Provides:

    • Visualization and registration of the pulse wave by an optical method.
    • Control of heart rate in real time
    • Pulse wave contour analysis in manual mode – calculation of amplitude-time parameters of the pulse wave.
  2. Analysis of heart rate variability (HRV)
    Provides:

    • Building rhythmogram (the dependence of the period of the cardiac cycle from time to time), the histogram variability (variation pulsogram)
    • Correlation analysis RWA – Building scattergrams
    • Calculation of the tension of regulatory systems of the body

Head of topics: Antonenko Y.A.

meter_grid Meter grid characteristics of laser radiation.
The automated meter grid characteristics of laser radiation. The device can be used in areas of science and technology, which are associated with the development, manufacture and operation of laser radiation sources. By its parameters correspond to the best world standards.

Gelmgoltz_coils Magnetocardiography is a relatively new medicine tool for diagnostic of heart diseases.
It is based on measuring magnetic fields over patient’s chest in order to determine parameters of heart electric activity.
Comparison of the Magnetocardiographic System developing at our faculty with the existing SQUID-based MCG
Advantages:

  • Much smaller price
  • Smaller operation costs
  • The above points allows much wider usage of MCG in ordinary clinics
  • Active interference compensation allows operation in a much more noisy environment

Disadvantages:

  • Higher internal noise of the contemporary flux-gate magnetometers as compared to SQUIDs doesn’t allow to develop a similar system for magnetic encephalography, though for magnetic cardiography the sensitivity is completely sufficient as preliminary experiments have shown

Head topic: prof. Shulga S.N.
