At the Department of Space Radiophysics work in this area is headed by Assoc. Tyrnov OF – Is working with the U.S., Canada, Japan and Russia. At the Department of Biological and Medical Physics such work is headed by prof. Tovstiak V. – With the U.S., Switzerland and England, prof. V.Ya. Maleev – With Great Britain, Greece, Germany, Russia. Throughout the fiftieth anniversary of the Faculty of scientists established business relationship and maintained good cooperation with research institutes, design offices and factories. Among them, IRE NASU, IRE Academy of Russia, the RI National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, ILTPE (Kharkov), R & D (Kharkov), KIPT, “Saturn” (Kiev), NPO “Orion” (Kiev) TSNIRTI (Moscow), Minsk State University, plant them. TG Shevchenko (Kharkov), CDB PM (Moscow), University of Gebze (Turkey), University of Nottingham (England), Denmark, Netherlands, USA, Simferopol University, Sophia University, SE Ukrkosmos, Kyiv National Technical University , Lviv Polytechnic, NPO. Lavochkin, Moscow Aviation Institute and many others. The effectiveness and relevance of research can be judged by the following results: received more than 300 copyright certificates on inventions, published over 20 monographs and 120 training manuals, conducted about 20 international scientific conferences, published 250 articles per year, of which 35% in foreign journals, more 20 scientists were awarded the State Prize in Science and Technology, 4 Corresponding Members of NAS of Ukraine, 3 – academicians of NAS of Ukraine, about 100 doctorates, more than 500 – the candidate. involvement of research faculty in the development and implementation of international and government contracts demonstrates the high creativity of scientists and schools that they are headed. In the 50’s and early 60’s clearly defined main research areas of faculty, developed by the departments: it – physics and technology of ultra-high frequencies, the radiation and diffraction of electromagnetic waves; radiophysical metrology, quantum radio physics and spectroscopy, semiconductor and vacuum electronics, antennas and propagation electromagnetic waves, radio-physics methods of macromolecular compounds, and biological environments. Since the mid 60s was the development of yet another scientific field – physics of space and near space.
history4
In January 1962 the Faculty established a research laboratory of radio, and in 1966 – a problem laboratory of semiconductors, in which all joined the department and research laboratories that existed previously.Gained world renown work on diffraction under the leadership of USSR Academy of Sciences Shestopalova VP They became the foundation of modern scientific fields: diffraction electronics, the development of element base MM and SMM ranges, high antenna shelters, composite materials, etc. At the Department of Quantum Radiophysics (up to 1974 – Department of radio) during this period continued the work begun by Professor RA Valitova To date, formed three powerful trends – “radio spectroscopy of molecules and Rydberg atoms in the range of MM and SMM wavelengths”, headed by prof.Dyubko SF, “Lasers and their SMM range receivers”, headed by prof. Maslov V.A. (early prof. Switch V.A.), “Measurement of space-energy and polarization parameters and characteristics of laser radiation”, headed by prof. Kokodiy N.G. (early prof. Kuzmichev V.M.). Active participation in the implementation of these programs take: Assoc.Maslov VA, Assoc.Efremov, VA, prof.Cocody NG, p. Mr. a. Candidate. Sci. Science Carr, AN and others. Also enjoyed great fame of the Department of Space Radio Physics, begun under the leadership of prof. Misiura VA for the Study of regular and random variations in the ionosphere and troposphere ekvosfery radiophysical methods that allow you to measure the lower ionosphere from 50 to 115 kilometers, which earlier was possible only by means of rockets. At present, this work continues under the leadership of prof. Chernogora LF and Assoc. Tarnovo OF. The research work of the department of physics of ultrahigh frequencies develops in the following areas: broadband transmission lines and microwave devices, the radiation of surface waves for applications in broadband microwave devices, electronic devices with prolonged exposure to O-type and ferrite-dielectric microwave devices. Currently working on these problems Assoc. Zvyagintsev, AA, prof. Shmatko AA, prof. Pogar SA, Assoc. Snout NI, p. Mr.a. Odarenko EN and others. The most important problem of applied electrodynamics is the development of the theory of electromagnetic waves and the creation of small antennas with circular polarization, developed by Scientific School Assoc. Shubarin Y. In the early 70s at the department have developed research areas: theory and techniques of multibeam antennas shotgun, the spread and diffraction of electromagnetic waves in plasma, artificial environments, and radiogolografiya. Significant progress has been made for new research directions. The department spectroscopy, which was part of 1974 in the Department of Quantum Radiophysics, and in 1978 was allocated in the Department of Biophysics, conducts fundamental research in the field of radiophysics biology. Here we study the amino acids and proteins exposed to ionizing radiation, the processes of complex methods of electron paramagnetic resonance and nuclear magnetic resonance, cell permeability of single-celled organisms and their interaction with the environment means high-frequency conductivity of the luminescence and electron paramagnetic resonance. In this direction, did a lot Assoc.Weaver, VK, Academician BI Verkin, prof. Good YP, Assoc.Kononenko, KI, Assoc. Stepin, LD and many others. At the Department of the semiconductor and vacuum electronics performed important work in the field of semiconductor electronics and semiconductor to create high-frequency generators, power sensors, mixers, multipliers, and devices with high magnitoustoychivostyu. This trend is headed by prof. Prokhorov, ED A large contribution to its development have Academician VM Yakovenko, Associate Professor Shekhovtsov N. and others. Recently, 5 departments of the faculty carry out the traditional training in radio physics and electronics in conjunction with the necessary knowledge in the modern world in the field of computer and information technology, two departments are taught the discipline of Computer Radiophysics and integrated information technology. The faculty has a Department of Physical and Biomedical Electronics and Department of Molecular and Medical Biophysics. In this regard, since November 25, 2014 Radiophysics Department was renamed to the Department of radiophysics, biomedical electronics and computer systems.
