The Faculty of Radiophysics, Biomedical Electronics and Computer Systems (RBECs) of V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University announces the All-Ukrainian Olympiad “RadioOlympiad”, aimed at promoting various fields of modern radiophysics and related scientific areas among Ukrainian school students.

The Olympiad is held дистанційно (online) using Google services (Google Forms, email, YouTube) as well as the Zoom platform. Detailed participation rules are provided in the Regulations on the online event “RadioOlympiad”.

Ukrainian school students are invited to participate, even if they are temporarily staying abroad:

  • students of grades 10–11, students of professional colleges, and other individuals taking the NMT in 2026 (senior group);
  • students of grades 7–9 (junior group).

Please note: higher education students are not eligible to participate in the RadioOlympiad.

Participation in the RadioOlympiad is free of charge. After completing the registration form, the participant will receive a confirmation email within 24 hours containing their individual registration number and a link to the Round 1 form (please also check “Spam”, “Promotions”, etc.). A participant is considered registered only after receiving the confirmation email. Registration status can be checked via the link. Registration after the deadline means participation “out of competition” (eligible for a participation diploma but not for prize places).

If incorrect information was provided, participants may update it using the same registration form by entering their registration number.

The Olympiad is held in two rounds with mandatory предварительная registration and further communication mainly via email.

Key Dates of the Radio Olympiad 2026:

  • Registration of participants of the Radio Olympiad and their supervisors – until 12:00 16.02.2026.
  • Round 1 – from 17.02.2026 to 19.02.2026.
  • Round 2 – 28.02.2026 (the exact time will be announced additionally).

  • Announcement of Round 1 results – until 12:00 23.02.2026.
  • Conference with supervisors of Radio Olympiad participants – 23.02.2026 (the exact time will be announced additionally).
  • Announcement of the final results of the Radio Olympiad – until 28.03.2026.
  • Distribution of electronic versions of diplomas for participants, prize-winners and winners of the Radio Olympiad, professional development certificates and letters of appreciation for supervisors – until 18.04.2026.
  • Distribution of printed copies of diplomas, certificates and letters of appreciation, as well as prizes and gifts for the winners of the Radio Olympiad – until 18.06.2026.

ATTENTION!

The registration deadline and the dates of the First Round have been extended.

Registration for the RadioOlympiad has been extended until 15:00, 20.02.2026.
The First Round will take place from 12:00, 17.02.2026 to 18:00, 20.02.2026.

Rounds and evaluation: Round 1 is conducted as online test(s) in Google Forms during the specified period. Participants who score at least 75% of the maximum possible points in Round 1 are admitted to Round 2 (other participants may also be admitted by decision of the organizing committee). Round 2 is held in the format of an online conference (some participants will be invited to join the Zoom conference, while others may follow the live broadcast). During the conference, popular science presentations, announcements, and explanations of tasks will take place. Participants attending via Zoom may receive up to 10 additional points for insightful questions to the speakers. Answers to Round 2 tasks must be submitted as scanned or photographed copies of handwritten text (answers created in text editors are not accepted).

Supervisors (school teachers/college lecturers): register separately (they will need to provide students’ registration numbers). After registration, they will be invited to a Viber chat where major Olympiad announcements will be published. Teachers/lecturers supervising at least three participants may receive a professional development certificate (1–3 ECTS credits), provided they attend the special online conference on February 23, 2026, and complete a small practical assignment.

Supervisors may also update their information using the corresponding registration form by entering their registration number.
