Competition for the Mitacs scholarship to participate in a research project at Carleton University (Canada)

We invite bachelor’s students (starting from the second year) and master’s students of Karazin University to participate in the competition for the Mitacs scholarship to take part in a research project at Carleton University (Canada).

The competition is open to students of the specialty “Applied Physics and Nanomaterials”.

Duration: 6.5–7 months

❗️Please note: applicants must have English language proficiency of at least level B2.
Project participation period: December 2025 – June 2025.

Financial conditions: a monthly scholarship of 1500 Canadian dollars.

List of documents required to participate in the competition:

  • ✅a scanned copy of the first page of the international passport,
  • ✅a CV in Europass format,
  • ✅two recommendation letters from university instructors. These recommendation letters do not require a special form; they must include the official letterhead, date, signature of the person recommending the applicant, and the faculty stamp. Letters older than six months at the time of application submission will not be accepted,
  • ✅a transcript of records (in English, certified by the faculty),
  • ✅a certificate of English and/or German language proficiency of at least level B2; candidates who do not have an official certificate confirming their English language proficiency may provide EF SET test results (https://www.efset.org/4-skill/);
  • ✅an inclusivity certificate (if available).
