NGS in the Modern Laboratory: From Theory to Practical Application
On March 12, 2026, the BioLabtech lecture will take place, dedicated to the possibilities and
practical application of Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) technology in modern
biomedical research.
Students, PhD candidates, and professors of biological and medical specialties are invited
to participate, as well as everyone who works with molecular biology and genetics or is
just beginning to become familiar with these fields.
During the event, participants will learn more about the principles of NGS technologies,
the stages of sample preparation for sequencing, and modern directions for using genomic
methods in science and medicine.
The lecture will be delivered by experts with practical experience working with NGS
technologies who implement these methods in Ukrainian scientific and medical centers.
Lecture Program
“What is NGS and why has this technology become a revolution?”
Speaker: Viktor Momot
“From sample to sequencer: how an NGS library is created”
Speaker: Mariia Rekrotchuk
“Modern applications of NGS in science and medicine”
Speaker: Viktor Momot
