On May 26–27, the third stage of the futsal competition within the sports project “Side by Side. All-Ukrainian Student Leagues” took place in Poltava. Teams from Donetsk, Luhansk, Poltava, Sumy, Kharkiv, and Chernihiv regions competed for a place in the national final.

The team of V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University won the tournament and secured the right to compete in the All-Ukrainian Final, which will be held in July. The final stage will bring together the eight best teams representing higher education institutions from across Ukraine.

The winning team included students of the Faculty of Radiophysics, Biomedical Electronics and Computer Systems: Roman Hospodenko, Vitalii Tkachenko, Valerii Liubimyi, Illia Teslenko, Oleksii Tolkach, Andrii Ostrikov, Vladyslav Povolotskyi, Ivan Stepanenko, Vladyslav Krymkovyi, and Vladyslav Sorokin. The university team also featured Andrii Yakovenko (School of Economics), Kostiantyn Zhukov (School of Medicine), Oleksandr Sliusariev (Faculty of History), and Artem Datsenko (Educational and Scientific Institute of Sociology and Media Communications).

The silver medals were won by students of V. G. Korolenko Poltava National Pedagogical University, while the bronze medals went to the team of Sumy State University.

We congratulate the athletes and their coaches — Yurii Petrenko, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Basic Military Training, Physical Education and Sports, and Viktor Rodionov, Instructor-Methodologist of the Univer-Loko Football Club — on this remarkable achievement and wish them success in the All-Ukrainian Final.
