All-Ukrainian Olympiad of the RBECS department
V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University in physics “Radioolympiad”
The department of Radiophysics, Biomedical Electronics and Computer Systems (RBECS) of V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University held the All-Ukrainian Olympiad “RadioOlympiad”, which aims to popularize various sections of modern radio physics among schoolchildren.
Ukrainian schoolchildren were invited to participate in the Olympiad, even if they are abroad:
- students of 10-11 grades, students of vocational colleges and other persons who take the NMT in 2024 (older group);
- pupils of grades 7-9 (younger group).
The Olympiad consisted of one distance round, which took place on 24.02.2024. To participate in the Olympiad, pre-registration using a Google form was required (registration is currently completed). Participants who registered after 23:59 on February 16, 2024, took part in the Olympiad outside the competition and claimed only participant diplomas. After registration, letters were sent to all participants to the e-mail address specified during registration, indicating the unique number of the participant and links to communication groups with the organizers.
The Olympiad was held in the format of a video conference, where students were introduced to modern radio physics and the RBECS faculty, and the tasks of the Olympiad were announced and published. The video conference has now ended, you can view the recordings:

- Speeches on radiophysics and biomedical electronics and presentation of problems.
For the senior group (students of 10-11 grades and college students), 5 interesting problems of radiophysics were offered for solving. Participants of the younger group (students of grades 7-9) should analyze fascinating radiophysical effects and explain how each effect relates to our faculty.
Answers to the tasks were accepted until 18:00 on February 24 (until 8:00 on February 26 for participants outside the competition). You can check whether your work has been received by the organizing committee of the Radio Olympiad by searching for your number in the table for the younger group and in the table for the older group (these tables provide information on the admission of participants to the competition).
Results of the Olympiad
- by April 13, electronic versions of diplomas will be sent to Olympiad participants and winners;
- by June 15, the winners of the Olympiad will receive their prizes.
All participants will receive electronic certificates of participation (a hard copy is available upon request), the best participants will receive commemorative prizes and gifts along with winners’ diplomas. Leaders of participants (teachers), whose three or more students send works, will receive thanks from the organizers of the radio Olympiad.
