At our faculty there is a student scientific society (SSS). There are 12 active members in the scientific community. Each student of the faculty deals with science in some measure: scientific publications, participation in conferences, round tables, seminars, open lectures and so on. The main activity of the SSS is to inform and interest students to participate in such events.
Over the past year, students of our faculty took an active part in conferences CAOL-2016, YSF-2016; UWBUSIS-2016 and others. The 6th year student Alexander Gritsenko for the victory in the All-Ukrainian competition of student scientific works received personal thanks from the rector of Kharkiv National University named after V.N. Karazin.
One the days of open doors and science nights, the SSS of the faculty holds an exhibition of instruments made by students of our faculty for applicants and other visitors of our university.
All teachers help the students’ scientific development. Deputies of the dean for scientific Anatoly Tsymbal and educational work Alexander Dumin provide assistance in organizing meetings of SSS, holding scientific exhibitions.
The following students take an active part in the work of the SSS of the faculty:
Khrichev V, Lobanov E., Muzychishin B., Plakhtiy V, Berezovskaya A., Kirichenko A., Shevelev N., Shevchenko D., Makhov E., Kravtsov O..
The head of the SSS is elected at annual meetings, where everyone can join the ranks of beginning scientists. Now the head of the SSS is the student of the group РР-51 Vladislav Khrichev. Among his personal achievements, we note participation in 4 international conferences, the publication of an article in the journal Telecommunication and Radioengineering, as well as the third place at the All-Ukrainian competition of student scientific works.
Among the active participants of the faculty SSS, we note also the student of the group PP-57 Vadim Plakhtiy. He is the author of articles in 2 journals (HNU Bulletin and American Journal of Progress In Electromagnetics Research C) and 6 abstracts at international conferences. Vadim’s report at the conference on the theory and technology of antennas ICATT-2015 “Waveguide antenna with a hybrid dielectric insertion” won the 3rd place at the competition of young scientists in the framework of this conference.
The main privilege of participating in the SSS is communication with representatives of other faculties, with teachers, with the leadership of the university. The SSS is receiving information about upcoming conferences and other scientific events.
SSS actively helps in carrying out the faculty’s activities, the next important event is the conference on UWBUSIS-2018 ultra-wideband and ultrashort impulse signals, to be held in September 2018.
We invite other students to join the scientific community and participate in the development of science at our faculty.
