All-Ukrainian Olympiad of the RBECS department
V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University in physics “Radioolympiad”

The department of Radiophysics, Biomedical Electronics and Computer Systems (RBECS) of V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University announces the holding of the All-Ukrainian Olympiad “RadioOlympiad.” The Olympiad aims to popularize various sections of modern radiophysics among schoolchildren.

Ukrainian schoolchildren are invited to participate in the Olympiad, even if they are abroad:

• pupils of 10-11 grades and other persons who take the NMT in 2023 (older group)
• pupils of grades 7-9 (younger group).

The Olympiad consists of one distance round, which will take place on 25.02.2023. Due to the difficult situation with electricity, registration will be extended until the start of the Olympiad, but participants who register after 20.02.2023 will participate in the Olympiad outside the competition and can claim only participant diplomas.

The Olympiad is opened in the format of a video conference. In the program: an introduction to the RBECS department and the IEEE international organization, as well as during the video conference, the tasks of the Olympiad will be announced and published. Each participant of the Olympiad have time during the day to send their solutions to the organizers of the Olympiad using a Google form. Participants have the opportunity to send solutions during the week, but in this case they will participate in the Olympiad outside the competition and can only claim the diploma of the participant.
For the older group, 5 radiophysical topic problems was offered for solving. A photocopy or scanned copy of the solutions must be sent to the Organizing Committee.
Participants of the younger group was asked to analyze interesting physical effects and explain how each effect relates to our department. Your explanations for each task will have to be placed in separate files and sent to the Organizing Committee.

Due to the providing of martial law in Ukraine last year, the winners of the Olympiad were left without gifts, so all last year’s winners who will send their works this year are guaranteed to receive a gift from the Organizing Committee of the Olympiad along with the participant’s or winner`s diploma.

The results of the Olympiad will be published on the website before 18.03.2023. All participants will receive electronic certificates of participation (a hard copy is available upon request), the best participants will receive commemorative prizes and gifts. Leaders of the participants (teachers), whose three or more students sent works, will receive thanks from the organizers of the RadioOlympiad.
