On February 24 our university hosted a full-time tour of the All-Ukrainian Olympiad of the RBEKS school in physics “Radioolympiad”.
The Olympiad was aimed at popularizing radiophysics among high school students. The co-organizer of the Olympiad was IEEE Ukraine Section (Kharkiv) SP/AP/C/EMC/COM Societies Joint Chapter, legally represented in Ukraine by the Public Union “Ukrainian Section of the IEEE”.
To participate in the full-time round the best participants of the correspondence round were invited.
Schoolchildren from Nikolaev, Zaporozhye, Poltava, Donetsk, Lugansk and Kharkiv regions, as well as from Kharkiv took part in the event.
The participants were greeted with a welcoming speech by the dean of the RBECS scool prof. Shulga S. M., then they were offered tasks of radiophysical subjects, after which a free lunch for participants of the Olympiad took place.

Schoolchildren had the opportunity to receive detailed information about the RBEKS school and the international organization IEEE, listened to the lecture of the deputy dean O. Dumin and the head of the department of molecular and medical biophysics V. Berest about the features of admission and training. A brief presentation of the international organization IEEE for the participants was presented by the chairman of the SP/AP/C/EMC/COM branch of the Ukrainian section of the IEEE (Kharkiv) M. Antyufeyeva/ After that, some interesting physical experiments were shown to the participants of the Olympiad.

Then the awards ceremony took place. The organizing committee of the Olympiad decided to award valuable prizes to the 4 first, 10 second and 10 third places. The winners received diplomas, prizes and gifts with the symbols of the organizers of the event.

Three participants for the duration of the event were placed in the student hostel, where they got acquainted with the living conditions and obtain new friends from the students of the RBECS school.
